Description:

Narcotics Anonymous is a completely voluntary organisation. Membership is open to anyone with a drug problem seeking help, regardless of what drug or combination of drugs have been used, and irrespective of age, sex, religion, race, creed or class. The only requirement for membership is a desire to stop using drugs.

Red Rose Recovery
Description:

We’re a Recovery Infrastructure Organisation. This means we provided a network of support throughout your journey and beyond. In short, we’re here for you whenever you need us. Also, we can help you find activities or any training opportunities you might wish to pursue. These opportunities can help you with relationships, housing, education, and employment.

We also have links with the Lancashire User Forum (LUF). You can attend this open and friendly forum any time during your recovery. The LUF is a place where you can meet people with similar interests and aspirations. Likewise, you can listen to talks or take part in workshops.

The Billy Project
Description:

The Billy Project is a lottery funded scheme for disadvantaged and vulnerable women in the Blackburn with Darwen Community.  The aim of the project is to support the health and wellbeing of participants through the promotion of healthy eating, exercise and emotional support.

If you are a female who feels isolated, emotionally vulnerable and would like to make new friends, you may qualify for the project.

The Family Health and Wellbeing Consortium
Description:

The Consortium is a member based charitable company – established and incorporated as a company in October 2011 and registered as a charity in December 2012. The organisations that make up the consortium are drawn from the Voluntary Charity and Faith Sector across Lancashire and the North West.

The work of the Consortium benefits children, families and adults of all ages in the local community in Lancashire and the North West.

Delivery of provision, through our member organisations, is taking place in some of the most deprived communities with a focus on vulnerable residents within those communities.

Wish Centre
Description:

The WISH centre is often the first point of contact for people in Blackburn with Darwen who are experiencing domestic abuse. Fully qualified and specialist staff are available to discuss choices and options in a non-judgemental way, providing emotional and practical support including-

information on and access to emergency, temporary accommodation
access to our floating support service,
access to IDVA, ISVA, YPVA service
access to counselling
access to specialist courses for men and women
appointments at the free legal surgery
signposting and information about other local agencies

We provide support and guidance whatever choice you make.
